Copper Cabling

Cables are an important component of the Ethernet based industrial networks that are becoming more common in industrial facilities.

CAT6 & CAT6A

Category 6 cable is commonly referred to as CAT6. CAT6 is a standardized twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network phusical layers that is compatible with Category 5/5e and Category 3 cable standards. Compared with CAT5 and CAT5e, CAT6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard also specifies performance of up to 250 MHz compared to 100 MHz for CAT5 and CAT5e. Whereas CAT6 cable has a reduced maximum length of 55 meters (180FT) when used for 10GBASE-T, CAT6A (Category 6 Augmented) is characterized to 500 MHz and has improved alien crosstalk characteristics allowing 10GBASE-T to be run for the same 100 meter (328FT) maximum distance as previous Ethernet variants..

Copper Splicing

Multi pair cables consist of groups of insulated conductors that are first twisted into pairs before being cabled together in the same form as multi conductor cables. This cable type is used extensively in the computer & communications industries. There are a wide variety of multi-pair cable constructions available including unshielded, overall shielded, individually shielded pairs, or even individually shielded pairs with an overall shield.
